Brookville, NY – Long Island Lutheran High School has reached a multi-year agreement with Nike Team in partnership with Metro Team Sports. The Crusaders will compete, travel and train in Nike uniforms, apparel and footwear, with distribution handled exclusively by Metro Team Sports.

Long Island Lutheran fields 17 high school teams and 11 middle school teams that compete in multiple local athletic conferences. “The LuHi Athletic Department is excited to continue our tradition of excellence through our association with Nike and Metro Team Sports” said Christina Raiti, Assistant Athletic Director and Head Girls Varsity Basketball coach at LuHi. “As a department and all who sport the Crusader logo: players, coaches, parents, fans, etc., we strive for excellence both on and off the playing field. Throughout the last few years, our department has built a strong relationship with Metro and they continue to exceed our expectations with exceptional, innovative ideas that are in line with our athletic mission. We look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence with both Nike and Metro.”

Luhi athletic programs have captured several conference and state titles over their history, led by the Boys and Girls Basketball programs who routinely compete at the national level and own a combined 12 New York State Federation championships. As a result of their achievements, both teams have earned designations as Nike Elite High School programs, an honor reserved only for the top high school teams in the country.
