Spring Football?? Last-Minute Uniform Solutions

Athletic programs across the country have been in limbo as we continue to plan around and react to the effects that COVID-19 has had on our everyday lives. As everyone does their best to plan for hopeful days ahead, athletic directors at both the high school and collegiate levels find themselves with shorter timelines and fewer options for outfitting their athletes for the inevitable return to play. Today we’ll focus on some stock football uniform options that are available in a multitude of color combinations and can be delivered relatively quickly.

Have a team that’s obsessed with accessories? Here’s a timeless message from former Coastal Carolina Football coach David Bennett:

There may not be much time for “extra bands” and “other shoes” this spring, but these available stock styles will have your team looking and feeling good after months of football anticipation.

Under Armour

The UA Armourgrid Jersey uses the same technology that their higher-end custom uniforms feature, with rip-stop material on the front and back of jersey to prevent rips and tears. A positive side-effect of the material is the difficulty in grabbing the body of the jersey, providing the same competitive advantage that UA’s top collegiate programs enjoy.

These jerseys are better-off decorated using embroidery and twill, so they’ll easily rival most fully-custom uniform options in look and durability. The accompanying Force Pant features a comfortable 4-way stretch knit material with the option to add an embroidered logo on the hip.

To add some extra flair to the jerseys, two 1-color shoulder print options are available

Between seven jersey color options, nine pant color options, two shoulder print options and twenty decoration colors to choose from, this uniform can easily become the best uniform set in your arsenal with half the wait time and zero headaches.

Adidas

Along the same lines as UA, Adidas has taken one of their top-tier custom options and created a stock version for programs without big budgets and minimal lead-time to spare. The WVN A1 Jersey and WNV A1 Pant feature the same fabric and construction as it’s custom counterpart with a bevy of color options and a much smaller price tag.

Adidas was the first to put a truly form-fitting uniform on football players with the introduction of their “techfit” technology six years ago. The trend is here to stay, and the WVN A1 Jersey and Pant features a 4-way stretch woven fabrication with mobility-driven stretch mesh panels to deliver that close-to-the-body, secure feeling throughout the entire set.

A twill/embroidery combination will always be the more durable decoration style, but a less-expensive screen print could also be done on these to help save a few extra dollars on the set.

Listed as Adidas’ lightest football uniform, the stock option gives 14 primary jersey color options to go along with 15 pant colors – all with contrast paneling to add some flair.

Nike

By all metrics, Nike is the most visible uniform brand across the football landscape, with swooshes all over NFL sidelines as well as the last nine college football national champions all wearing the global brand. Luckily for us, the same tech and silhouettes seen at the highest levels are also available to the public, and can be had affordably and rather quickly.

The Nike Stock Vapor Untouchable Jersey and Pant set is built using the same details and fabrication as their custom uniform options, featuring durable Cordura-certified nylon fabric and the familiar, strategically-placed mesh ventilation details.

All branding schemes are covered, as Nike offers 18 color options for the jersey top to match up with 10 pant colors to choose from.
